National Roll of the Great War

Here you can search for the names of men and women listed in Volume 9 of the National Roll of the Great War which is dedicated to Bradford and local townships. This Roll was compiled and published by the National Publishing Company in 1920.

The National Roll makes no claim to be complete, but some names are additional to those on the Bradford Roll of Honour.

Entries were submitted by family members or servicemen and were not verified by the publishers. Some inaccuracies arise due to faulty memory or to standardisation by the publishers of the battles in which a man might have served.

In the published book the enlistment dates were often recorded as “on the outbreak of war”. In the transcription this has been transcribed as Aug-1914. Additional info can be found in the published version
